Creating Kancy Switch was and is an incredibly personal experience. The story behind us as creators started three years ago when we decided to enter the smart home world frustrated by flipping switches and going back upstairs –again– making sure that that hair dryer was really off. Or worrying in your favorite restaurant whether the lights on the front porch were on or off – “Is this really the 21st century?†we asked. We can surely do better than that!
After few months down the line we discovered that all systems on the market were limited in features, highly costly and setting up required lots of home decoration changes. So we started off creating our own central hub for every smart gadget in market and we really put a lot of effort in that approach at first. But after a while we discovered that we were not on the right track with the hub idea.
Wouldn’t it be much smarter not to have any hub but only a tiny, standalone, wireless device which turns any dumb appliance into a smart and green one? That’s when Kancy was born! Turning every crazy beam–me–up–Scotty idea into reality became a passion – and more and more so when Kancy began materializing. And now we are here –ready to launch! It’s just Really exciting!
